JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Operations Manager, you are a key person in the operational management. Being an Operations Manager means you are responsible for leading daily traffic in relation to set goals and with the resources provided related to vehicles and drivers. The Operations Manager role involves leadership without being a boss; you act as the extended arm of the operations manager.
The work must be conducted with consideration of contractual requirements, internal policies, instructions, as well as laws and agreements. The role entails significant responsibility for the company's scheduled traffic operations in the Ystad city and region agreement. You prioritize environmental, quality, and safety work, operate cost-effectively, and act to minimize risks. Your behavior, way of expressing yourself, and leadership set the tone for the atmosphere and align well with the company's values. You help create the conditions for success.
In this role, you are responsible for ongoing tasks:
- Plan and allocate buses and drivers based on the given traffic planning.
- Ensure daily traffic start.
- Handle and resolve urgent challenges such as broken buses, accidents, delayed and absent drivers, traffic diversions, etc.
- Incident and damage reporting according to routine.
- Ongoing contact with external operations managers, workshops, and cleaning. You coordinate with Bergkvara Service.
- Follow up on daily safety checks and vehicle inspections.
- Administer lost and found items.
- Provide feedback to employees.
In this, you consider laws and agreements, such as driving and rest time regulations, labor legislation, and collective agreements, as well as our internal policies and routines.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, we see that you have good Swedish skills in both spoken and written form, as well as a Class D driver's license and YKB. Relevant post-secondary education for the position is an advantage.
